Mathematical Sciences

Bill Martin, Professor of Mathematical Sciences, has been awarded an Erskine Fellowship to be held in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Engineering, at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Each year, the University of Canterbury awards Erskine Fellowships to internationally recognized visitors. These visits are for both teaching and research. While at Canterbury in April-June, Bill Martin will be teaching Rings & Fields. In addition, he will collaborate on research projects with geometers, bringing his expertise in error-correcting codes, experimental designs, and modern applications via association schemes.
