In recognition of their perseverance, resilience and dedication to WPI, the Class of 2023 honors and is grateful to the students, alumni, parents, and friends who supported their efforts and made a gift to WPI.
The idea of a Wellness Walk grew out of a shared commitment to having space to gather as a community and to having dedicated spaces to rest and recharge both inside and outside. The following is a list of those spaces the Class of 2023 identified as stops on their wellness journey.
- Library Reflection Space- located on the lower level of the library, is a place for community members to rest, reflect, and de-stress. It includes yoga mats, blankets, pillows and a wooden privacy screen. It is open to all during the library’s normal operating hours.
- Class of 2022 Hammocking Space- the Class of 2022 also recognized the need for gathering space, particularly outdoors, and this spot is the result of their efforts. The Class of 2023 recognized its importance and included it as part of their Wellness Walk.
- Class of 2014 Higgins House Arbor Swings- this spot located in the small garden behind Higgins House, was a favorite of many class members. Who doesn’t love swinging!
CWB Garden space- the Center for Well-Being serves the WPI Community through a variety of programming. The garden space is an area for people to sit, rest, and reflect. - Reunion Plaza Fountain- this space was selected because it’s a central gathering place for students to meet others, to table for, and engage other students in their activities.
- Biology & Biotechnology Greenhouse, located on the roof of Salisbury Labs- this space was selected because it provides the ability to sit with greenery even during cold winter months.
