Caitlin Ferrarini, assistant teaching professor in the Department of Integrative and Global Studies (DIGS) was awarded the 2025 Donald A. Gatzke Outstanding Dissertation Award from the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA) for “Examining the Potential of Online Community-Based Learning to Foster Global Citizenship Capacities in College Students: a Mixed-Methods Multi-Institutional Study,” University of Massachusetts Boston, 2024, Meghan Kallman, Director. AAUA presented its annual awards in October. A list of all 2025 award recipients can be found here.

This past October, Dr. Ferrarini showcased her work on "Dissertation Dish" for LEAD California, a statewide nonprofit membership organization supporting half a million university and college students, administrators, faculty, staff, and community members who are creating innovative ways to ensure a healthy, just, and democratic society.
