Elissa Lu Named Executive Director of Institutional Research & Assessment

Elissa Lu has been named Executive Director of Institutional Research & Assessment in the Office of Strategic Initiatives and University Analytics; she will join WPI January 26 and will report to me. In this role, she will lead the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, serving as our primary data strategist and research analyst. Elissa will manage comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting functions that directly support institutional decision-making, strategic planning, and accreditation requirements.

Elissa has over 20 years of experience in institutional research and most recently served as Assistant Provost of Strategic Analytics, Assessment & Institutional Research at Clark University. She holds a PhD in Higher Education from Boston College and previously held IR roles at Harvard College and Wellesley University.
