George C. Gordon Library

The EMPOwER (Engaging More Powerfully, Openly with Educational Resources) Team invites faculty to apply for a developmental Women’s Impact Network (WIN) grant to support the use of Open Educational Resources (OERs) at WPI. One goal of this program is to support WPI faculty who adopt, adapt, or create OERs for their large-enrollment STEM courses.

  • WHO: The team is looking to support 4-6 faculty who are interested in adopting, adapting, or creating OERs with a focus on expanding the recognition and representation of women and BIPOC students in STEM.
  • WHAT: Development grants will be paid to faculty for adopting or adapting existing OER, or for creating new OER modules, resources, and assignments.
  • HOW:  Selected participants will be supported throughout the process by faculty and librarian mentors, a student consultant, and faculty peers, who will meet together several times in the new year.
  • WHEN: The Call for Proposals opens October 20 and closes November 15. Selected proposals will be announced December 13. Projects will begin in C Term and continue through the academic year.
