Fourth of July Holiday Break to Begin July 2

Department(s):

Office of the President

Dear WPI Community,

The past few months have been intense. Although we haven’t been physically together, we have been managing the impacts of a global pandemic together. The fact is, WPI never actually closed. Our work continued. Classes have been taught and taken. Initiatives have been launched and managed. Our facilities have been kept in top form.

For many, the hours, days, and weeks have gotten longer since March – and all of this has been done against a backdrop of so many personal, professional, and national challenges.

That work is noticed and appreciated. Now it is time for a well-deserved break.

The university has decided to extend this year’s Independence Day holiday break an extra day by giving everyone next Thursday, July 2, the day off.

  • Classes will be cancelled
  • Non-Exempt employees will just need to enter an extra holiday in Workday

We hope you can use this time for relaxation and rejuvenation.

With sincere appreciation,

Laurie
