We are pleased to announce that as of Monday, 10/19, the full renovation of Gordon Library’s entrance level (2nd floor) is complete! We welcome all members of the WPI community to stop by and enjoy long-awaited enhancements to the library experience for students and the entire WPI community, including:
- An expanded Library Café featuring Bagels and Bowls and smoothies open 9-3 Monday - Friday, with more than 40 seats and upgraded vending options available outside of café hours
- Natural lighting in a beautifully renovated reading area
- Updated Tech Suites
- A new private nursing room available via card access
- WPI’s first dedicated Art Studio Classroom, with capacity for 24 students, welcoming its first classes in B Term
- Art exhibits throughout the floor
- Modern, warmer, energy-efficient lighting, including dimmable surface-mounted reading room table lamps
We appreciate your patience throughout the entire renovation process and are very excited to welcome you back to the new and improved space. We are planning a grand reopening celebration and open house for 11/10 at 3 pm so please stay tuned for more information about that event in the near future.
