History Professor Peter Hansen Featured on Podcast Exploring Mountain Landscapes and Communities

Humanities & ArtsPeter Hansen, professor of history in the Department of Humanities and Arts and director of the International and Global Studies program, is featured in an episode of the Mountain Stories, Mountain Futures podcast, hosted by the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
The episode, “Summit Positions with Peter Hansen,” was released on Feb. 27. It features a conversation with Hansen about how he first became interested in studying the history of mountaineering, some of his writings on the topic, central characters and moments in mountaineering history, and his current research about Mount Everest.
Hansen is the author of The Summits of Modern Man: Mountaineering after the Enlightenment and co-editor of Other Everests: One Mountain, Many Worlds.
