Recognizing that offering remote and flexible work options can improve job satisfaction, enhance employee recruitment and retention, optimize building and space planning, and help staff achieve a more fulfilling work/life balance while continuing to support WPI’s vibrant and inclusive culture, the Remote & Flexible Work Policy is now permanent. Launched as an interim policy almost exactly a year ago, the policy went through the Administrative Policy Group process, including an open period for community comment. The President has approved the recommendation of Administrative Policy Group to make this a permanent policy.

In order to support all WPI employees in making the most of this policy, the Division of Talent & Inclusion will offer learning sessions dedicated to helping individual contributors and managers understand the policy better and to providing them with resources and tips on how to continue working remotely in an effective manner. In the spirit of remote and flexible work, all sessions will be offered online via Zoom.
