Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a great opportunity to remind WPI employees of the free resources available through our Employee Assistance Program benefit with New Directions. During uncertain times – and even during the best of times – life can weigh heavily on each of us. If we talk openly about our mental health, we slowly start to break down the stigma that keeps people from getting the help they need.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, make the commitment to check in on your family, your friends, your co-workers… and yourself. Don’t forget your free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to help you tackle whatever has you feeling down or overwhelmed. By simply calling the EAP Support Line at 800-624-5544, your EAP can support you and your household members to improve your well-being with services like:

  • Counseling when you don’t feel like yourself.
  • Consultations for legal or financial issues
  • Support during crisis or big life changes
  • Community resources for family and caregiving
  • Online assessments, self-help tools, expert tips and more

During the month of May, help us inspire others to understand their mental health and share resources that may be able to help. Consider joining May’s free webinars on Managing Your Mental Health and Recognizing and Preventing Burnout.
