Moving Beyond One Size Fits All: Understanding the Educational Experiences and Intra-Group Dynamics of Black Collegians Across Ethnicity and Nativity.

On ay give U.S. college campus, 15-40% of Black students can be comprised of those with an immigrant background or international student status.  This session presents data from the Black Transnational Student Project, a mixed methods study elucidating how Black American, immigrant, and international students experience higher education in both similar and distinct ways.  Participants will gain a greater understanding of the complexities of race, racial identity, and intra-racial group dynamics on college campuses in order to support student success.
