Collaborating with Academic Technology and IT Support Services, the Gordon Library is implementing exciting upgrades in the Shuster and Multimedia Labs!

Six high-end Precision 3430 computers are being installed in the Shuster Lab. Each includes a tiltable Huion 20” Graphics Drawing Tablet/Monitor and Battery-Free Pen to support detailed graphical creations.

There will be seven new Precision 3430’s in the Multimedia Lab area, one Huion tablet, and four new open cubicle spaces for laptop use. ArcGIS, a geographic information system software for working with maps, will be available this fall via a WPI site license and will be added to the computers in both labs.

The Multimedia Lab will also be home to a KIC Click Mini book scanner, which supports saving/sending images via USB or email, and printing in all standard output formats, including searchable PDF and Editable Rich Text.

The Shuster Lab can be reserved for classes and digital scholarship events and programming. For more on digital scholarship support services, see the Digital Scholarship resource guide.
