President Leshin delivers inspiring message to Boston University female grad students

Keynote at annual event touches on themes of innovation and meaningful experiences

On April 8, President Leshin delivered the keynote address at the Fifth Annual Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWISE) luncheon at Boston University. President Leshin discussed the need for future innovators to have inspirational challenges, supportive mentors and advocates, and high-impact educational experiences.

The event was attended by about 130 graduate students, professors, and other higher education leaders.

President Leshin provided a presentation that traced her career path in higher education and NASA, and then joined in a discussion about opportunities for women in STEM fields.
