Virtual Accepted Student Experience Brings WPI’s World Class Experience Worldwide

Enjoy a taste of the Virtual Accepted Student Experience through a video tour.

WPI recently launched its Virtual Accepted Student Experience (VASE) for the undergraduate Class of 2024, giving accepted students and their families the chance to explore WPI from the comfort of home. After enjoying a welcome message from President Leshin, they are able to hear from faculty, staff, and current students, participate in live chats, and more, all while seeing for themselves what makes WPI such a special place.

In a typical year, more than 1,200 accepted students and their families attend one of three on-campus Accepted Student Open Houses to reinforce their final enrollment decision. Because these events are so critical to enrolling the undergraduate class, the undergraduate admissions and marketing teams moved quickly to replicate that experience virtually when the university made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person events.

The Virtual Accepted Student Experience includes more than 70 video presentations and over 35 live chat options for accepted students and their parents to interact and engage with the WPI community. Since its launch on April 13, the Virtual Experience had over 1,200 unique users in the first three days, who engaged with more than 12,000 total videos, presentations, and chats.
