About the Meeting:
Excess nutrients from fertilizers, fossil fuel combustion, and wastewater from humans, livestock, aquaculture, and industry contribute to air, water, soil, and marine pollution, leading to biodiversity loss, ozone depletion, and increased global warming potential.
The Global Partnership on Nutrient Management (GPNM) was established to address this “nutrient challenge” — reducing excess nutrients in the global environment while supporting sustainable development.
The GPNM Annual Meeting serves as a strategic forum for governments, UN agencies, scientists, and private-sector actors to align efforts, share best practices, and advance integrated approaches to sustainable nutrient management.
