Workday: Training plan for July and beyond
A project of this size and complexity needs copious amounts of training to be successful. We know that people learn in different ways, and that your time is limited. We will offer as many different types of training at as many different times as possible, through demos, hands-on, video, job aids, and one-on-one sessions. Training will continue during the summer and will increase closer to the launch of Workday in October 2018. It doesn’t end there, of course, and there will be technical support by phone, email, and in person.
While training will focus on learning how to do the tasks you currently perform in Banner or on paper in Workday, there will also be training associated with eProjects, multifactor authentication, and the upgrade to Banner 9. HR, Payroll, and most Finance-related tasks will be in Workday, but data related to students and academic activities will still be in Banner, as will data from previous fiscal years.
We know it’s a lot to take in, but you will never be alone!
