The wireless network outage affecting tens of thousands of customers across the U.S. left many people unable to call or text on Thursday. Alexander Wyglinski, professor of electrical and computer engineering and associate dean of Graduate Studies, lent his expertise to media covering the outage. His comments on society’s reliance on 5G wireless networks and a potential workaround to the outage appeared in several outlets and resulted in nationwide distribution which included:
