Bookstore Talk

Internet activist Ethan Zuckerman on campus
November 19, 2013

• The campus bookstore is hosting a special event for the WPI community on Tuesday featuring Internet activist Ethan Zuckerman, director of the Center for Civic Media at MIT and a professor at the MIT Media Lab. Zuckerman is also the author of Rewire: Digital Cosmopolitans in the Age of Connections.

Zuckerman’s talk, “BNC320: The Digital Revolution,” asks what’s the most outrageous way the internet has impacted life on a personal and global scale? Zuckerman, one of the leading thinkers on the intersection of technology and society, claims to have the answer. Other hot topics will be what WikiLeaks owes to cat videos, and how selfies can change the world.
