Andrew Edwards, a WPI Sophomore, Wins Election to New Hampshire House

November 27, 2006

Worcester, MA- While Democrats across the country were generating news on Election Day, one WPI undergraduate was making headlines of his own as one of two college students elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Andrew J. Edwards, a sophomore biochemistry major from Nashua, N.H., earned his seat by being one of the top 10 vote getters in his home district, District 26, which includes Hillsborough County.

Read an interview with Edwards in which he talks about his reasons for running for state office, his priorities as a state representative, and his desire to combine his interests in alternative energy and economic policy as a lawmaker and in his future career.
