Expert Bio

Derren Rosbach is an expert in environmental planning, sustainability, emerging energy technologies, transdisciplinary inquiry, and project-based learning. With a background spanning molecular biology, ecology, and environmental planning, Rosbach is especially interested in how to build individual, community, and organizational capacity to work collaboratively to apply science and technology to address complex sustainability challenges. His research includes a focus on the deployment of next-generation nuclear microreactors. He teaches courses and advises student projects that cover a range of environmental and sustainability planning topics including energy, land use, waste, and water.
