Schaumont's research interests are in hardware security related topics, a field that has gained enormous traction over the past two decades. He works on challenges in cryptographic engineering, and on making systems secure and tamper resistant. He is currently working on an app that may make digital contact tracing for COVID-19 more private and secure.
