WPI offers the Federal Form 1098-T electronically (paperless) for eligible students. To opt-out of the paperless 1098-T, please provide this request in writing to the Bursar's Office. All 1098-T forms are emailed by the IRS deadline each January.

WPI reports total payments by calendar year, not semester, per the IRS regulations. If you do not receive a form and request one you must provide your SSN/ITIN in order for us to create a form for you.

You are required by U.S. Code 26 § 6109 to furnish your SSN/ITIN so it may be included on an information return (1098-T). If you fail to furnish your correct SSN or ITIN to WPI, you are subject to a penalty of $50.00 by the IRS. (See 26 U.S. Code § 6723 for more information on failure to comply).

If you have not submitted your SSN/ITIN, please print a form W-9S to submit your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Please remit to the Bursar's Office. Due to sensitive information, this form may not be emailed.
