PCard Purchases

PCard Application Process:

The PCard is a corporate credit card, designed to allow WPI employees and departments with flexibility for travel expenses or purchasing goods under $1,000 when a supplier is not available in Workday.

PCards are available for WPI employees who:

  • Engage in business travel, conference registrations, or booking travel for others at least three times per year.
  • Purchase equipment or supplies not available through a Workday supplier.
  • Have completed the PCard training.
  • Are not on non-sabbatical leave for over 30 day period

How to Apply for a PCard:

  1. Search for PCard Request in Workday, complete the questionnaire and the required PCard training video https://hub.wpi.edu/Discover-Canvas?traffic_source=ca. The request for PCard will route to your Manager for approval.
  2. Upon completion of training, the request will be processed, and Bank of America will mail the new card to WPI. Allow two weeks for the processing and delivery of a PCard.
  3. Submission of the PCard request acknowledges that employees will follow WPI policies and procedures related to PCard use and procurement, including the WPI Business Expense and Entertainment, Meals and Travel policies.
