Anne Ogilvie is the director for team learning at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and the founder of WPI’s SWEET Center, a campus resource that supports effective and equitable teamwork in the collaborative projects that are at the heart of WPI’s project-based curriculum. Anne also teaches OBC505, a graduate course on teaming and organizing for innovation, and she advises interdisciplinary field research projects for WPI undergraduates.
Anne first came to WPI in 2011 to lead the Global Projects Program. For eight years she led the team supporting operations and student experience for >1000 WPI students each year at over 50 project centers in 25 countries. Before coming to WPI, Anne was the international director of field management at Earthwatch Institute, an organization that supports field research around the world through citizen science volunteers. She has also taught at the Sea Education Association and Catalina Island Marine Institute. Anne has a BS in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MS in Adult and Organizational Learning from Suffolk University.
