Bob’s expertise in systems engineering comes from 25 years with IBM where he performed as a systems engineer, and later as a Program Manager, on large complex projects. Included were the Trident Submarine Combat System, Systems Engineering Technology Development for IBM’s Federal Systems Division, Finance/Insurance Systems development, and an Enterprise-wide process reengineering task force for the IBM Corporation.

Bob’s IBM experience not only developed his expertise in Systems engineering, but it helped him discover a career goal – he realized he wanted to teach working professionals in the art and science of systems engineering and project management. After leaving IBM, Bob formed his own consulting company and began a 25-year second career consulting and teaching project management and systems engineering to corporate and government clients. Partnering with several training and consulting companies, Bob served clients including US Intelligence agencies, DOD, NASA, FAA, Naval Underseas Warfare Center, Northrup Grumman, General Dynamics, IBM, MITRE, Amtrak, BAE, Syntell (Sweden), and several others.

Bob has traveled worldwide in the performance of his professional duties, and has developed an appreciation of different cultures and different ways of looking at things. He believes this enriches his teaching and provides a better learning experience for his students.

Bob Developed one of the first preparation courses for becoming an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional.
