Why did you choose to study at WPI?
I chose to study at WPI because of the different undergraduate opportunities given, such as taking a BS/MS within aerospace as a mechanical engineering major.
How are you involved with the WPI community?
I am involved with Tau Kappa Epsilon, Student Government Association, Community Advising, Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) Department office, National Society of Black Engineers, Black Student Union, and Caribbean and Hispanic Student Association. I love all these activities because I can express myself freely while utilizing the amazing connections and benefits that they offer.
What’s your favorite thing about WPI?
Some of my favorite things about WPI are the large number of free spaces that are always available to use, whether it’s the Center for Black Excellence or Innovation Studio.
Do you have a faculty or staff mentor?
Statia Canning and Drew Brodeur have made lasting impressions on me due to their extreme care for my wellbeing and my academic success. They consistently check in with me to ensure that my efforts at this school are recognized.
How has WPI’s project-based learning influenced your education?
Project based learning has influenced my WPI education by further propelling me into real work-based opportunities that I will see after graduation.
