Mellon Fellowships in Humanistic Studies

The Andrew W. Mellon Fellowships in Humanistic Studies were designed to help exceptionally promising students prepare for careers of teaching and scholarship in humanistic disciplines. Future competitions for this program were suspended in the summer/fall of 2005. The Mellon Foundation has other programs that support dissertation research and postdoctoral research.
