Sonia Kovalevsky Day - An empowering day for middle schoolers who love math.
Named in honor of Sonia Kovalevsky, the first woman to obtain her doctorate in mathematics, SK Days are nationally-held, locally-organized outreach events with the aim of supporting and encouraging young people to continue their study of mathematics.
Please join the Mathematical Sciences Department on Saturday, April 11, 2026 for Sonia Kovalevsky Day (SK Day.) This event is for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and will include fun math activities, lunch and a keynote speech by a mathematician.
