We are excited that Launch is back in-person for summer 2022! Two sessions are offered with a variety of STEM disciplines offered. Each session is taught by WPI faculty with hands-on projects for students to explore. If you’re looking for summer programs for rising 9th graders and sophomores, be sure to explore Launch.

What should we expect on Move-In/Move-Out day?
Opening day for Residential Launch is on Sunday 6/26/22 and the estimated time of arrival is currently between 12 and 1pm (subject to change). More specific details will be communicated with students and families as we get closer to the date. Opening day will include move in to the residence hall, an official campus welcome, student orientation, student dinner, floor meeting and IT account setup. Families are included for a short time for moving into the residence halls and an official welcome from WPI.
Closing day for Residential Launch is on Friday 7/1/22 and the estimated time of move-out from the residence halls is around 3:30pm (exact time still being finalized). The exact time and details will be finalized soon and shared with students and families.
Is transportation provided?
WPI does not offer a specific transportation service through the university. Below is a list of some companies that have worked with our students in the past. Launch Commuter times
On the first day of the program, Monday, August 8, drop-off will be available from 8-9am. After this, students are able to be dropped-off between 8:15-9am and picked-up between 4-4:45pm. There is no additional programming during these times. The 45-minute block of time is to provide flexibility for transportation and family scheduling.
