Students will spend full days in and around WPI’s campus working with college students, professors, and others who devote time to make the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) field a game-changing experience for students.

Camp Reach, for girls entering 7th grade, was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in STEM Mentoring. Ranging from designing a roller coaster to making a sundae or lacing up shoes, students will discover engineering, math, and science concepts in everyday activities. In addition to exploring exciting STEM applications, WPI works with students to instill self-esteem, encourage positive body image, and promotes anti-violence of all types.

In the Launch program for 9th and 10th grade, students will leverage state-of-the-art research and technology to find solutions to current problems in a variety of scientific fields alongside WPI’s renowned faculty. Students will be able to step in the shoes of an environmental scientist, lab chemist, computer scientist, and roboticist. LAUNCH is offered as both a day and overnight program. In the event that your student may not attend a program in June, due to snow days extending their school district’s calendar, WPI will allow cancellation with a full refund.

Students will be challenged to explore the outer limits of their knowledge in STEM disciplines with current laboratory techniques to explore unsolved problems, along with some time in another aspect such as from writing, psychology, music, theater, and more are also offered.  The Frontiers application is now open! Majors/minors fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
