During the summer, WPI’s pre-collegiate outreach programs team offers three distinct, in-person programs: Ignite, Launch, and Frontiers. 

 

Grades 6–8

Ignite

Discover the fundamentals of scientific inquiry and technique through fun, hands-on experiences. Ignite is a week-long day camp where students can start to build a basic understanding of an in-demand STEM field they're interested in.

Grades 9–11

Launch

Use research and technology to tackle real-world problems alongside WPI’s renowned faculty. Launch is a week-long day camp where students can step into the shoes of a video game designer, computer programmer, crime scene investigator, robotics engineer, and more!

Grades 10–12

Frontiers

In this two-week overnight program, students live on campus and get an immersive preview of college life at WPI. They take lab-based STEM classes, explore a major and minor, and connect with peers from around the globe who love STEM as much as they do.
