Becker-WPI Pathway Program

Welcome Becker College Interactive Media Students

You are our neighbors, our colleagues, and our collaborators – and as you face the decision on where to continue your education, we are here to help. Our two institutions share much, and we hope to welcome all of you for whom WPI feels like the right place. We also recognize how important it is to provide continuity, so there could be opportunities for Becker faculty and staff to join WPI as well. All of us share a passion for innovation and impact, and for creating and keeping jobs in our commonwealth even as our work changes the world.

Becker and WPI have signed an agreement offering a path to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Media & Game Development for students currently enrolled in the following programs at Becker:

  • Interactive Media: Game Art
  • Interactive Media: Game Design
  • Interactive Media: Game Development & Programming
  • Interactive Media: Game Audio
  • Interactive Media: Game Production & Management

As part of this process, WPI will automatically accept all students who are currently enrolled in any one of the programs listed above at Becker who also:

  • Are in good conduct standing
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA as of the end of the current academic year
  • Submit applications to transfer to WPI on or before June 1, 2021

Additional Transfer Options

Students who are not eligible to transfer to WPI under this specific Becker-WPI Pathway Program are encouraged to explore traditional transfer pathways to WPI. Visit wpi.edu/+transfer or email transfer@wpi.edu for more information.

MS in Interactive Media and Game Development

WPI will also offer a course of study leading to a Master of Science Degree in Interactive Media and Game Development to students currently enrolled in the graduate program in Interactive Media Design at Becker College.

With over 250 student organizations, we’ve got something for everyone—from underwater hockey and improv comedy to diversity in games and a video game club. More than 80% of students are involved in athletics—between 20 Division III varsity sports and dozens of intramural and club teams.
