What

Worcester Polytechnic Institute Corporate and Professional Education invites Massachusetts companies to learn more about state funding opportunities available through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund - a state program financed by Massachusetts employers – via its 4th semi-annual Workforce Training Fund Information Session.

Workforce Training Fund grants help businesses gain economic strength and enhance employees' skills by introducing them to new technology, production methods, and customer satisfaction tools. The program is especially focused to help first-time applicants from small-to-medium-sized businesses that would not be able to make a training investment without financial assistance. The workshop is free and will feature information about the fund's General, Express, and Hiring Incentive grants.

Doug Riikonen and Johanna Hall, of the Commonwealth Corporation's Applicant Assistance Program, will present an information-packed session to help Massachusetts companies determine which grants are most appropriate for their employee training needs.

When

Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Where

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Gateway Park, Worcester, Mass.
