2026-2027 Registration Information

Dear Students,

Fall 2026/Spring 2027 registration will begin on the last day of March! Here’s what you need to know, and a few steps to follow to make the process smoother.

Course listings:

Course offerings are posted in Workday, at courselistings.wpi.edu, and on planner.wpi.edu.  Please note that departments will continue to send updates to the schedule, so be sure to check frequently.

Fall 2026 registration schedule:

• March 31, 7:00 AM – All graduate student and rising senior registration begins
• April 1, 7:00 AM – Rising junior registration begins
• April 2, 7:00 AM – Rising sophomore registration begins
• April 7, 7:00 AM – All graduate student and rising senior registration begins
• April 8, 7:00 AM – Rising junior registration begins
• April 9, 7:00 AM – Rising sophomore registration begins

Spring 2027 registration schedule:

Registration appointments: 

Registration appointments will be created during the break week between C and D-terms and can be viewed in Workday. Undergraduate class standing (sophomore, junior, etc.) is based on the minimum number of units earned defined in the Undergraduate Catalog, not years of attendance. The “rising class” appointment minimums are based on these values (converted to credits) minus a generous allowance for courses in progress for D and summer terms. There are no exceptions to these credit thresholds. 

Next Steps:

1. Open your Student Profile in Workday (directions here). Review your Academic History tab for accuracy. If you see any discrepancies, especially things that are missing, please contact registrar@wpi.edu.
2. Review the Workday registration instructions.
3. Monitor your account for any holds and be sure to resolve them before registration opens.
