Academic Section: Academic Calendar Review Update
The Academics section of MHIT has been working closely with students, faculty, and staff across WPI to address the MHWB Task Force recommendation that campus-wide periods of rest and reflection be built into the academic calendar. While the calendar has not yet been finalized, the team has ensured that every term will have a Wellness Day and/ or Reading Day—and in some cases, both. The team expects to complete the calendar soon and update the WPI community.
The Shrink Space: To help students find mental health resources beyond the WPI campus, WPI is now partnering with The Shrink Space, a HIPAA-compliant referral service providing students and the SDCC with off-campus referrals to private therapists who specialize in college mental health, and college students. The Shrink Space aggregates information about private therapists’ practices, including payment and insurance preferences, location, and availability in a searchable online database that allows the SDCC and students to connect with and schedule appointments with private therapists. WellTrack: Don’t forget that students have access to WellTrack, a suite of online tools and courses that uses aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand your mental health and access services you might need right now. WellTrack can help you maintain your mental health in five easy steps:

Get moving this spring by trying a HIIT workout!
