Beginning Tuesday, April 20th, WPI will begin the final phase of a multi-phase project, in partnership with National Grid (Ngrid), to upgrade and replace WPI’s aging Main Campus Electrical Service.

The majority of the construction will be contained within fenced areas that will progress in a phased manner beginning at the corner of West St. & Salisbury St.; up West St. in the grass areas off the pedestrian path; past the Fountain to the end of Stratton; around Stratton finally up to the Power House.

Brief sidewalk and road closures will take place during the duration of the work and will be communicated in advance.

The project will conclude with a full-day campus power shutdown on Saturday, July 17th will impact all WPI campus buildings inside of Salisbury Street, Boynton Street, Institute Road, & Park Ave (except for the Recreation Center and Park Ave Garage).  Please reference the linked document for additional details and graphics.
