Campus Phone Numbers to be added to Global Address List (GAL)

Outlook uses the Global Address List (GAL) to house directory information such as office phone extensions. Historically, this information was populated from Banner data. Starting on Friday, December 14, 2018, updates of campus phone extensions to Outlook’s Global Address List (GAL) will happen automatically via updates from the campus telephone system.
Benefits:
- Faculty and staff will no longer need to update their campus phone number/office extension using Bannerweb.
- Updates to campus phone extensions will populate to the Outlook Global Address List automatically.
- Employees will be able to use their unique campus extension as a secondary authentication method for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
