Worcester will celebrate its 300th anniversary June 10-12, 2022. The three-day Worcester Tercentennial (which is open and free to the public) will include a road race and a parade on Saturday, June 11; both events may pose substantial traffic and parking implications for members of our community who reside on or near campus, or who are planning to be on campus. From 8:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday, June 11:

The following roads will be closed/severely impacted:

  • Salisbury Street (right turn only onto Boynton Street)
  • Institute Road
  • Grove Street (right turn only onto Sagamore Road and Lancaster Street)
  • Faraday Street
  • Prescott Street
  • Lancaster Street

Parking will also be impacted in the following areas:

  • Prescott Street parking lots
  • Gateway Park garage

Campus will otherwise see normal weekend operations:

  • WPI buildings require card access
  • All other parking lots and garages are available to the community (some require card access)
