Campus Traffic Advisory: Saturday, June 11

Worcester will celebrate its 300th anniversary June 10-12, 2022. The three-day Worcester Tercentennial (which is open and free to the public) will include a road race and a parade on Saturday, June 11; both events may pose substantial traffic and parking implications for members of our community who reside on or near campus, or who are planning to be on campus. See details below.

From 8:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday, June 11:

The following roads will be closed/severely impacted:

  • Salisbury Street (right turn only onto Boynton Street)
  • Institute Road
  • Grove Street (right turn only onto Sagamore Road and Lancaster Street)
  • Faraday Street
  • Prescott Street
  • Lancaster Street

Parking will also be impacted in the following areas:

  • Prescott Street parking lots
  • Gateway Park garage

Campus will otherwise see normal weekend operations:

  • WPI buildings require card access
  • All other parking lots and garages are available to the community (some require card access)
