Deadline Extended for Art Contest Submissions

School of Arts & Sciences

The Arts and Creativity in the time of COVID - Deadline extended to Aug 10!

Artists respond to, reflect, and help to produce the world that we live in, and in doing so, provide different ways to understand our own experiences. Likewise, making art asks people to process their experiences in ways that are communal, shared, and public. As part of Arts and Science Week, and to better highlight arts and creativity at WPI, the School of Arts and Sciences will host our first WPI+Arts event around the theme of with COVID-19.

We invite submissions in the visual, literary, and performing arts (including but not limited to short stories, poetry, essays, plays, painting, sculpture, film, musical compositions, etc.) in response to these COVID-19-based themes:

  • Community in isolation
  • Alone together
  • Before, during, and after
  • Identity, agency, and optimism in a pandemic
  • Ourselves in the world
  • Human connection in a virtual world
  • Home
  • Caretaking
  • Empathy and imagination in challenging times
