NCFDD's Summer 2023 14-Day Writing Challenge

Registration is open for a summer offering of the 14-Day Writing Challenge, to be held from June 5-18, 2023, organized by the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD). Because of WPI's institutional membership, all faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and staff can access this program free of charge. See the Morgan Center website for instructions on how to create a NCFDD user account.

The 14-Day Challenge is an opportunity for you to experiment with daily writing, online community, and supportive accountability. It's very simple:

  1. You commit to write every day for at least 30 minutes.
  2. At the beginning of your writing time, you login to our online community, start the timer, complete your writing, and post your progress at the end.
  3. You take 5 minutes to support other writers in your group by commenting on their progress.

This is NOT for you if: 1) you don't want to post your progress on a daily basis and/or 2) you don't want to interact with other people.

This program is a great way to start a writing project or advance a writing project, and to try out a daily writing habit. Registration closes on May 31..

"The more I participate, the more I'm struck by the effectiveness of your simple, adaptable system. The interface is great. Best, it enhances and doesn't get in the way of my writing!"
