To the WPI Community:

I am delighted to announce that Patricia Patria, MBA, PMP, CISSP, has joined WPI as the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. Patty’s first day on campus was Monday, March 26, 2018.

In this important role, Patty will provide strategic leadership for the planning and delivery of information technology and services to support WPI’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. She will oversee Network Operations, Systems Services, Application Administration, Data Architecture, Enterprise Resource Planning, Support Services, Project Management, Academic Technologies, Research Computing, and IT Security.

As VP/CIO, Patty will play a vital role in several major IT initiatives currently underway at WPI, including the delivery of ERP Transformation from Banner to Workday, Logical Data Warehousing, centralized solution of Identity and Access Management, and eProjects 2.0 in support of our Project-Based Learning program. We are thrilled to have Patty bring her expertise to bear on these exciting new efforts.

Patty joins WPI from Becker College, where she was Vice President for Information Technology, responsible for strategic leadership and management of numerous key initiatives. She was brought in-house at Becker after serving for several years as that college’s Chief Information Officer via Ellucian, a leading provider of higher education technology services that works with more than 2,500 institutions around the world. She also worked at Bentley University for ten years where she held several roles, including Chief Information Security Administrator. Among other initiatives, she built Bentley’s information security program from the ground up.

We are delighted to have Patty join us to lead WPI’s critical IT endeavors. Please join me in welcoming her to campus.

Best regards,

Jeffrey Solomon
