President Wang Celebrates Goddard Centennial Countdown

Marketing CommunicationsPresident Grace Wang joined government, higher education, and local organization leaders on Feb. 17 to kick off the one-month countdown to the 100th anniversary of the first successful liquid-fueled rocket launch.
The group gathered at the Goddard house in Worcester, just miles from where Robert Goddard, Class of 1908, is credited with starting the space age on March 16, 1926.
President Wang spoke of the impact WPI had on Goddard, who in turn changed the world.
