Prof. Lane Harrison's REU Team Wins Place at Council on UG Research's REU Symposium

Poster Title: Transforming Interactive Visualizations into Design Assets through Web-Based Instrumentation

Visualization Prof. Lane Harrison works closely with Data Science REU research students on a summer project...and it pays off. 

The Data Science Research Experience for Undergraduates drew students from across the country to work with dedicated DS faculty on developing research projects.

Under the tutelage of Prof. Harrison, NYU's Apoorva Nori and Cole Polychronis from Westminster College, UT, focused on the research topic: ' Transforming Interactive Visualizations into Design Assets through Web-Based Instrumentation.'  

Their final poster was submitted to, and accepted by, the Council on Undergraduate Research! 

They will  present their findings at CUR's Research Experiences for Undergraduates Symposium, on October 22-23, 2017 at the Westin Hotel in Alexandria, VA.

This is great news and a testament to their accomplishments and teamwork this summer.
