Ryan Madan's article "Ignoring Ethics with Style: Writing Sentences for 'Non U.S. Persons'" has just been published in the journal Harlot: a Revealing Look at the Arts of Persuasion. You can read it here: http://harlotofthearts.org/index.php/harlot/article/view/244/187.

In March he presented a paper titled "Writing for More at the Polytechnic University: Promises and Pitfalls of Externally Sponsored Writing Projects" at the Northeastern Modern Language Association conference (Hartford, CT). The paper discussed his course redesign of Elements of Style, a class he revised this year with the support of the Morgan Center's Faculty Learning Community.

In April Ryan chaired a panel called "Strategies of New Writing Faculty: A Discussion on the Construction of Professional Identity" at the Conference on College Composition and Communication (Houston, TX)
