Amber Murphy and Luke Poirier have each been selected to receive the inaugural Hill/Kiewit Distinguished Civil Engineer Junior Award in the amount of $10,000 each.
Kiewit Executive Vice President and esteemed alumni, Greg Hill, established this award to recognize Civil Engineering students entering their junior year who show exceptional work ethic, enthusiasm, perseverance, and a real passion for the field, particularly construction. Greg, who graduated from the Civil, Environmental, and Architectural department in 1991, formally presented the award at annual CEAE Networking Night on September 29, 2026.
