In celebration of Celebrate April Diversity Month, WPI Project Inclusion hosted a campus-wide, community cookout on April 30, 2018 in the Rubin Campus Center main lobby.  Over 300 WPI Community members came out to the Campus Center to grab lunch,  snag a t-shirt and wrist bands that remind us all that #WeAreWPI. The giveaways were handed out with a FAQ sheet outlining the Project Inclusion initiative in detail. The celebratory cookout not only brought members of the community together but represented the institutional commitment to great, diverse minds.

Special thanks to all those who attended, and to the Division for Talent and Inclusion and Marketing and Communications who are deserving of praise and thanks for the co-sponsorship of this festive and far-reaching event.

In the spirit of co-sponsorship, #WeAreWPI t-shirts and wrist bands will also be at the Employee Appreciation ice cream social this Friday, May 4 behind the Rubin Campus Center. Employees who were able to get a t-shirt at the cookout are encouraged to wear it at the social for a community picture. For those who were not able to grab one, there will be shirts available at the ice cream social, although sizing will be limited. Please email maluzzo@wpi.edu.
