Mass. Housing and Economic Development Chief to Kick off WPI Venture Forum's 20th Anniversary

The Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Venture Forum kicks off a year-long celebration of two decades of helping new business ventures in central Massachusetts with a program that features keynote speaker Greg Bialecki, Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development. Bialecki will deliver a keynote address about prospects for the growth of the state's vital tech and biotech economy, providing a unique perspective on Massachusetts' national leadership throughout the economic recovery. As Gov. Deval Patrick's chief housing and economic development advisor, Bialecki oversees the administration’s efforts in business growth, entrepreneurship, and furthering innovation throughout the Commonwealth.

The event will also feature several past entrepreneurial presenters, who will discuss their experiences since starting their ventures, including Bruce Ginsberg, CEO of ice cream technology developer MooBella; Cheryl Zimmerman, president and CEO of marine electronics firm, FarSounder Inc.; and Mitch Sanders, CEO and founder of protein sensor developer, ECI Biotech.
