Andy Camann '11, an aerospace engineering major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), recently engaged Mike Lynch, a sports anchor for WCVB-TV Channel 5 in Boston (an ABC affiliate) in a fun contest; during an earlier broadcast, Lynch had joked that figuring out the NFL post-season playoff scenario was harder than solving a Rubik’s Cube. To help prove Lynch's point, Camann appeared alongside him on the 11 p.m. newscast on December 29, 2009, with three well-scrambled Rubik’s Cubes placed before him. As Lynch launched into a fast-paced analysis of the NFL’s post-season, Camann got to work on solving the cubes, managing to unscramble all three before Lynch finished his report – and taking less than two minutes to accomplish this impressive feat.
