Accounts Payable Payments to Foreign Students

WPI now uses the international tax compliance program, Foreign National Information System (FNIS powered by Thomson Reuters) to securely obtain and manage personal and immigration status details required to assess the tax status of payments to international students.

Eligible students receive emails from [Placeholder Email Address] with a login link and a unique password to access a secure online portal. Once logged in, students complete a FNIS questionnaire, providing all necessary information for tax determination purposes. This data is then transferred to complementary tax software, where taxability is determined based on the information provided by the student.
