SchoolDude and Customer Service
Work order requests should be submitted through SchoolDude for the repair or replacement of defective or worn out parts of the institution’s facilities such as lights, restroom fixtures, walls, floors, heating, air conditioning systems, windows, etc. Please provide as much detail as possible including deadlines, schedules, and any additional information that could affect the priority, e.g. medical considerations. The more specific the information in the original request, the better we will be able to address the issue in a timely manner.
To avoid duplications, we ask that all work order requests go through the department administrative assistants. Students living on campus should contact their RA with any issues regarding their Res Hall. Requests related to an event should be directed to the Events Office first. They will enter a work order if one is needed.

Facilities performs maintenance and repair of existing university-owned facilities. Because of the high volume of necessary repair requests that go through the Facilities office, requests such as furniture assembly, painting for aesthetic purposes, and other cosmetic upgrades will be lowest on the priority list. If there is a desire for the work to be done sooner than our staff can get to it, the work can be contracted out at the requesting department’s expense. Emergency Repair Requests:
Emergencies should be called in to the Service Center staff at 508-831-5500 during normal business hours, and a work order should be created in SchoolDude by the caller or their department’s administrative assistant. During non-business hours (between 5pm and 7am Monday through Friday and on weekends), please contact Campus Police at 508-831-5555 or 508-831-5433.
Work orders for emergencies should NOT be communicated via email.

The Customer Service Center is the hub of the WPI Facilities Office. We are here to make your repair requests as simple as possible. Our staff includes:
Yvette Rutledge – Customer Service Coordinator – Ext. 5131 – email@example.com
Yvette should be your first point of contact for SchoolDude and work order questions. She handles most of the day-to-day work in the system and can address both administrative and requester issues.
Jennifer Prunier – Administrative Assistant – Ext. 6453 – firstname.lastname@example.org
Jennifer handles the administrative duties in the office including scheduling for the Director of Facilities and the Director of Construction. She is a secondary contact for Schooldude and work order related questions.
Amy Rajotte – Financial Assistant – Ext. 6557 – email@example.com
Amy maintains the budget for the department including, but not limited to, processing invoices and tracking expenses for capital projects and the operating budget.
