Thank You to VEX Robotics and the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation!

The MS4SSA initiative (Math and Science for Sub Saharan Africa) and WPI want to thank VEX Robotics and the REC Foundation for their generous donation of 50 Dual Control Starter kits, in support of MS4SSA trainings. These kits were initially used during our inaugural online course April – June, 2019 in Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, The Gambia, Rwanda, Mauritius, and Burundi. The kits are now being used in ongoing training sessions in all of these countries, with more countries joining soon. Robotics is a way of building student interest in STEM fields, and combined with WPI’s expertise in Project Based Learning, we are training trainers across Africa to support the MS4SSA initiative, to improve mathematics and science education in Sub-Saharan Africa.
